Derrick Luckassen nears Anderlecht loan switch

The centre-back of Ghanaian origin is close to sealing a loan move to the White and Purple having spent last season with them in the Jupiler Pro League

Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen is on the verge of joining RSC Anderlecht on another season-long loan deal from Dutch Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven.

The 25-year-old stopper spent last season's campaign with the Lotto Park outfit and his outstanding performance has seen the Belgian giants vying for his services for another loan spell having returned to his Dutch parent club.

According to Dutch News outlet, Algemeen Dagblad , Derrick's move to Anderlecht is a done deal as both parties have reached an agreement over the transfer move of the backline man to the Purple and White.

The paper further claims that Anderlecht wanted a permanent deal for the former AZ Alkmaar defender but his asking price of €5m was too much for them hence forcing for his loan deal.

Derrick still has two years contract with PSV Eindhoven regardless of his eagerness to leave their fold on a permanent basis.

He made 18 league appearances for Anderlecht during the 2019/20 league campaign in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

The Dutch-born defender of Ghanaian origin is still being pursued by the West African nation despite featuring for the Dutch youth sides.
