The Black Stars striker is elated to surpass Ghana's highest scoring record in the EPL this season.
Crystal Palace Jordan Ayew says beating Tony Yeboah's English Premier League goalscoring record is a massive feat to achieved in his football career.
Ayew broke Yeboah’s 23-year-old record to become the country's highest topscorer in the English Premier League with 25 goals.
His strike against Bournemouth in their match-week 30 clash aided him to set the new record after equaling it before the Coronavirus break.
“Tony Yeboah is massive, maybe the best striker of all-time in Ghana,” he told Sky Sports.
”To beat his total and get to 25 goals in the Premier League is a great achievement for me and my family.
“I’ve always thought that I was a good finisher, but sometimes you just need a bit of luck.
“This year, I’ve had quite a bit of luck, but luck doesn’t just come like that, you need to provoke it. I’ve been working really, really hard on that but there’s still room for improvement”, he added
Ayew is currently the top scorer for Crystal Palace with nine goals.
