We are ready for the Women's Champions League - Yussif Basigi Featured

Hassacas Ladies head coach Yussif Basigi has stated categorically clear that, his girls are ever and poised for the first ever CAF Women's Champions League which will be staged in Egypt in November.

The Ghanaian champions extended their supremacy having conquered West Africa few months ago in Cote D'Ivoire in the zonal qualifiers after beating Nigerian giants Rivers Angels in the final to book their slot for the main tourney.

 
However, the draw of the main competition was held on Wednesday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, and was conducted two African greats Perpetua Nkwocha from Nigeria and former Egypt international Alia Zenouki.
 
The 'Hasmal Ladies' after the balloting were placed in Group A alongside host Wadi Degla, Malian outfit AS Mande and Malabo Kings FC from Equatorial Guinea.
 
Speaking to Takoradi-based Goodnews FM, the experience gaffer, Yussif Basigi gives positive updates about the team's preparations towards the competition confirming they hasn't been any major injury worry in camp. He said;
 
"We're ready for the competition, we started training 3 weeks ago. We need prayers and supports from everyone for victory in Egypt."
 
"For now no injuries at the camp, the ladies are fit and ready to fight for the nation. Truly I don't have any idea of the teams in our group but will look for their games."
 
"The feedbacks from the Sports Ministry together with the GFA is very positive for financial supports."
 
Hassacas Ladies will host Equatorial Guinea heavyweights Malabo Kings in their opening fixture of the TotalEnergies Women's Champions League later this year.
