CAFWCL REPORT: Another Evelyn Badu's brace makes Hassacas Ladies first team to cruise to the Semis Featured

Hassacas Ladies becomes the first team to cruise into the semi final of the maiden CAF Women's Champions League after a resounding 3-0 triumph over Malian side AS Mande at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo

The game started with AS Mande attacking Hassacas Ladies so hard in spaces but got tired at a certain point giving the Ghanaians a huge advantage to dictate the pace and pattern of the game.

The 'Hasmal' ladies opened the scoring account on the 16th minute through the star girl Evelyn Badu who pounced on a poor corner kick clearance to strike her third goal of the tournament.
Hassacas nearly doubled their lead four minutes later but Perpetual Agyekum had her corner kick tipped off the crossbar by the substitute goalkeeper Sadio Sow.
AS Mande with a break on the 23rd minute after Bassira Toure had taken on two players to make her way through the box but Blessing Agbomadzi acted quickly to clear for an attacking throw in.
In a quick exchange, the Ghanaians broke again on the right side of attack but Doris Boaduwaa had her teasing cross piled out for a corner kick by the goalkepper with a quick timely intervention
The danger girl again Bassira Toure drives the Malians in attack but she was denied penetration by skipper Janet Egyir which resulted into a wasted corner kick.
In doing the additional time action, the West African champions netted their second of the night after set-piece expert Perpetual Agyekum once again scored from an awesome free kick.
Back from the break, AS Mande pushed in the opening minutes to reduce the deficit but Hawa Nene Konte collided with Janet Egyir in the course as she stried to control a pass but she was penalised for offside.
Hassacas Ladies also with their first glorious chance in the second half After Doris Boaduwaa set up Rahama Jafaru nicely in the box alone with the goalkeeper but fired wide for a goalkick.
Evelyn Badu on the 58th minute declared herself as the tournament's top scorer so far after a close range tap-in goal from Veronica Appiah's cross to make it 3-0. Nice team effort it was.
Evelyn Badu nearly completed her hatrick on the 65th minute but had her placing effort denied by the post. Nearly!
Perpetual Agyekum nearly scored her second of the night but had her powerful long range hit punched out once again by goalkeeper Sadio Sow.
AS Mande nearly had a consolation after Bassira Toure turned beautifully just on the edge of the box but her excellent shot went off the upright.
It ended 3-0 for Hassacas Ladies after full time. Hassacas Ladies will play host Wadi Degla, whiles AS Mande face Malabo Kings in the final group games simultaneously on Thursday
