WAFU Women's Cup: Togo 0-6 Ghana - Black Queens trounce Togo

The Black Queens of Ghana continued their impressive run in the ongoing WAFU Women's Cup with a heavy win over Togo on Friday.

Ghana remained unbeaten in the tournament after thrashing their neighbouring country Togo in the match-day two of Group A.
 
The female senior national team of Ghana inflicted a 6-0 victory over the Togolese at the Stade Robert Champaoux.
 
A strike from Northern Ladies forward Mukarama Abdulai ended the first half in 1-0 win in favor of the Black Queens after squandering several goal glaring opportunities.
 
Mukarama fired the lead for the Black Queens with superb strike on the 45th minute of the game.
 
Coach Mercy Tagoe's charges continued to mount pressure on the Togolese by upping their game which earned them five goals after the break.
 
24-year-old Alice Kusi bagged double after scoring on the 53rd and 65th minute to extend the lead before Grace Asantewaa made it 4-0 on the 77th minute of the game.
 
Ampem Darkoaa FC striker Mavis Owusu sealed their resounding victory with two goals on the 80th and 86th minute.
 
Owusu was adjudged the best player after match following her scintillating performance.
 
Ghana won the maiden edition of the tournament held in Ivory Coast last year.
