The Black Satellites of Ghana will take on the Flying Eagles of Nigeria in their opening fixture of the 2020 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship this evening at Stade Charles de Gaulles in the capital, Porto-Novo

Ghana is yet to be seen in action in the ongoing tourney meanwhile Nigeria have already honoured their first game after being held by Cote D'Ivoire to a 1-1 stalemate last Monday.

Both teams obviously will be poised and ready to do battle with two things at stake; winning to boost chances of qualification and also claim bragging rights due to the long standing rivalry that exist between the two nations.
The 2009 Africa and World champions held their last training session last Tuesday at the match venue ready to wrestle a revenge against their Nigerian counterparts after losing to them in the last edition.
Huge motivation for the Satellites after receiving a visit from GFA President Mr. Kurt Okraku and Technical Director Bernhard Lippert at training on Tuesday.
Head Coach Karim Zito has stated they had the privilege to watch Nigeria play against Cote D'Ivoire and they have identified some important clues about their opponents.
However, skipper of the side Daniel Afriyie Banie has also called for massive support from Ghanaians and has assured them of a victory today despite admitting it is going to be a tough game.
Winner of today's encounter will stand a tall chance of cruising into the Semi final of the competition and will be just a step away from grabbing a ticket to the 2021 CAF U20 Championship in Mauritania.
