MATCH REPORT: Precious Boah strikes late to power Ghana to victory over Nigeria in WAFU Featured

The Black Satellites are in pole position of securing themselves a ticket to the next edition of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations following their victory over Nigeria on Wednesday afternoon.


Ghana inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Nigeria U20 side in their WAFU Zone B Group B opener at the Stade de Gaules.

Coach Karim Zito's looked fearsome in the early minutes of the match as they mounted pressure on the Nigerians but their attempts couldn't earned them the opener before recess.

Youngster Precious Boah had a goal glaring opportunity but his strike was saved by Nigerian goalkeeper Kolawale Oladipo.
On the 84th minute, Boah was the hero of the day after scoring the only goal with a stunning free-kick to end the match in a 1-0 victory in favor of the Black Satellites of Ghana.
Ghana have booked themselves a place in the semis of the WAFU Zone B Africa Cup of Nations following the 1-0 over Nigeria
