The Black Starlets of Ghana have been eliminated from the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup Nations after losing 1-3 to the Young Elephants of Cote D'Ivoire earlier today at the Stade Kengue, Togo.

The Ghana men U-17 team needed only a draw to advance into the semi finals of the competition having drawn their opening fixture against Nigeria.

The Young Elephants run riots over the Black Starlets and was a one man show for Arafat Doumbia who completed a spectacular hatrick to send their Ghanaian counterparts out of the tournament.
In the game itself, the Ivorians were to good for the Starlets to contain having dominated the encounter from all departments right from kickoff with the Ghanaians complaining about the performance of the Togolese referee exclaiming they were denied three clear penalties in the course of the game.
The win for Cote D'Ivoire means they finished top of Group B with six points winning all their two games and have paved way for the Flying Eagles of Nigeria to also cruise into the last four of the competition.
Too sad for Head Coach Ben Fokuo and his charges who will be expected in the country latest by the close of tomorrow, Wednesday, 13th January 2021.
