Having suffered consecutive and disgraceful defeats in the hands of Japan Olympic team, Chairman of the Black Meteors Management Committee, Frederick Acheampong has conceded the Blue Samurai were by far better than Ghana

The Ghana U-23 team were sent to the muds after suffering an annihilating 10-0 on aggregate defeat against Japan in two matches within the space of three days, all at the Fukouka Denki Stadium.

The GFA Exco member stated he witnessed an improved Black Meteors team in the second game of which the team lost 4-0 indicating they did better as compared to Saturday's game.
Again, he noted that, the Meteors have a good team with bright future just that they met an improved and well organised Japan side which was put together since 2018 reason they had that cohesion and understanding among themselves very well.
“To be honest the performance today was an improvement than last Saturday’s. The bottom line is that the Japanese team is better than ours.”
“We lost to a better side with a lot of quality. They had prepared very well because of the Olympics Games. They started building the team in 2018 and it’s the same team till now.”
“They play very good football; we have to be honest. If you compare it to our side, we had a short time to prepare."
The Black Meteors are currently in Jeju preparing for another double header friendly against South Korea which is scheduled for June 12 and 15 respectively.
