Ghana host the Ivory Coast, the same country that denied them a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title in 2015.

Ivory Coast coach Patrice Beaumelle anticipates a strong performance from Ghana who will come into Saturday’s clash on the back of the defeat in Rabat against Morocco.

The Black Stars were beaten 1-0 and according to Beaumelle, Akonnor’s side will be keen to make amends against his team at the Cape Coast Stadium.

“Some players did not have time to play on this stage against Burkina. It will be a question of rotating them (against Ghana).” Beaumelle said.

“It will be a difficult match because I saw the Morocco-Ghana match (1-0). They will be keen to react. They will be at home. As I said, I wanted a home game and another away because you have to know how to travel to Africa.

Play outside in front of an audience that is not ours. I want to finish this internship. I want to continue to gain confidence. This group lives very well off the field, we feel that it is under construction. So we must continue and the positive results will allow us to move forward together.” he added.
