MATCH REPORT: Ten-man South Korea whip Ghana as Black Meteors winless run continue Featured

The winless streak of the Ghana's Olympic team continued after suffering another defeat to ten-man South Korea in an international friendly on Saturday morning.


The Black Meteors of Ghana were defeated by the South Korea U24 team 3-1 in a friendly at the Jeju World Cup Sports Stadium.

The home side,  South Korea were reduced to ten men with seven minute left for recess after Kim Jinya's horrible tackle on Great Olympics sensation Samuel Ashie-Quaye.
On the 17th minute, South Korea captain Lee Sangmee fetched the opener for his side after an early incursions had been dealt with by the back line of the male U23 national team of Ghana.
The first half of the game ended in a 1-0 win in favor of South Korea.
In the second half, South Korea continued to stage an intense pressure on Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's charges despite being reduced to ten men as they doubled their lead through Lee Suegmoo on the hour-mark.
Ghana pulled one back through substitute Samuel Obeng after the Koreans had made it 3-0 on the 66th minute via a superb strike from Cho Guesung.
The two nations will face off again on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Jeju World Cup Sports Stadium.
