2021 Ghana Football Awards: Abdul Fatawu Issahaku wins Future Star Award Featured

The budding talented forward has been voted the future star at the 2021 Ghana Football Awards.


Ghana U20 star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named Odartey Lamptey Future Star Award at the third edition of the Ghana Football Awards held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Saturday 3rd July 2021.

Fatawu Issahaku beat off competition from former Right to Dream Academy duo Kamaldeen Sulemana and Kudus Mohammed to win the prestigious award at the event.
Fatawu Issahaku has courted interest from several clubs in Europe including Bayer Leverkusen, Ajax, Broussia Dortmund, Red Bull Salzburg, Liverpool among others after an explosive performance at the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations staged in Mauritania.
He previously featured for the Ghana U17 team before gaining promotion to the U20 side to make his bow during the U20 Africa Cup of Nations at age 16.
Fatawu Issahaku managed to score two goals and an assist in 6 matches during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tourney held in Mauritania.
The promising whizkid was named the best player after the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations tournament.
His enormous qualities in the Ghanaian second-tier league earned him his first-ever call-up to the senior national team of Ghana for a double-header friendly against Morocco and Ivory Coast
