Goalkeeper of the Black Stars Richard Ofori is ready to inspire Ghana to victory over South Africa in match-day 2 of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Ofori has been described as the safest pair of hands for Ghana in South Africa were he ply his trade for giants - Orlando Pirates.

At the pre-match conference he disclosed their opponents has a lot of quality to surge ahead but says it is very important for Ghana to win.

“This game is very important, it is not for only me, it is for the nation because we know how the nation love the game and then how important this game is for the nation because we want to go to the world cup that is the stage every player want to play. So is very important for the team and then for the nation.”

“I have played with most of their players here in South Africa and I know their quality. They are very good but at the end of the day, we are Ghana so we need to show that we are Ghanaian national team and the most important thing we need is to win and surge forward ahead of them.” he stated.

Ghana has set their sights on returning to the World Cup after missing out in the 2018 event in Russia.
