Otto Addo won’t quit Dortmund despite Black Stars job Featured

Otto Addo will be unveiled as Ghana assistant coach in the coming days. 

Otto Addo will not quit his role as Dortmund assistant coach even though he has agreed to work for the Black Stars. 

The former Ghana international has earned the trust of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to become the next assistant coach of the Black Stars. sources have said that Otto Addo who represented at the 2006 FIFA World Cup will be unveiled as an assistant coach this week alongside Milovan Rajevac.

Both appointments have been approved following consultations between GFA and Sports Ministry, who represent the government. 

But Addo who has agreed to take up the job doesn't want to quit serving Bundesliga giants. His intention is to combine both and the GFA is expected to agree to his decision. 

Addo has been in management since 2008 when he retired from football. He has worked as an assistant at hometown club Hamburger SV, Borussia Monchengladbach and Nordsjaelland. 

This will not be the first time that Addo will be working for Ghana since venturing into coaching. Between 2013 and 2015, he was a scout for the Black Stars.
