Ghanaian international, Bernard Tekpetey has thrown his weight behind under fire Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew.

In recent times the Crystal Palace man has come under massive criticism from fans due to his inability to bang-inn goals for both club and country.

However, the Ludogorets goalscoring genius is hoping the Glaziers forward will rediscover his goal scoring dexterity and score against Zimbabwe in the 2022 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

“Jordan [Ayew] is a good player. He’s a top player in Europe and Africa,” Tekpetey, who played together with the former Swansea City man at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, told Goal.

“Sometimes you play against a team, they hear the name and realise they have to pay attention to him.

“With this new coach, I hope Jordan can get his rhythm and play with his quality and come up with some goals to help the nation as well.”

The Black Stars will host the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Saturday with the return leg to be honored in three days time in Harare.
