Milovan Rajevac has defended the substitution of Issahaku in the second half of Black Stars 3-1 win over Zimbabwe on Saturday, saying that he did so in an attempt to secure the victory.

Milo, took charge of his first major assignment after his reappointment as manager of the senior national team, the Black Stars and quickly broke the tibia with an impressive win.

“We faced some slight difficulties in the second half of the match because it was quite difficult to defend certain balls that’s why I introduced Iddrisu Baba to strengthen the defense,” Rajevac said in his post match conference.

Despite kudus Mohammed first half goal and Zimbabwe’s second half equalizer, the Black Stars put up a solid performance than they had in previous games.

Following this afternoons 3-1 victory, the Black Stars are now just a point behind Bafana Bafana and will hope to move atop when they travel to play Zimbabwe in the second leg on Tuesday in Harare.
