Head coach of Black Stars of Ghana Milovan Rajevac has backed his decision to play youngster Issahaku Abdul Fatawu during Ghana's double-headed encounter against Zimbabwe in the World Cup Qualifier at Cape Coast.

The 17-year-old was given the nod to start in Ghana's encounter with Zimbabwe ahead of experienced ones which, before the game, sparked a lot of conversations.

However, the Sporting Lisbon bound proved his mettle in the said game with his dazzling runs and take ons which left the Zimbabweans pinned in their half until the minutes he lasted the game.
Milovan Rajevac has been full of praise for the youngster and thinks he has given him plethora of reasons to make him a mainstay in the squad as the team prepare for the next AFCON in Cameroon next month.
"Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has proved himself at the camp and training session. During a training match, he gave me reasons to give him the chance to play and we've all seen the outcome," he told GFA.
"He is a player with a great future and he will surely have a part in future games for the Black Stars."
