Ghana FA technical director Bernhard Lippert optimistic of Ghana's World Cup Qualification Featured

Technical director of the Ghana Football Association Bernhard Lippert is optimistic the Black Stars will certainly qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

According to the GFA technical head, he is confident in the current Black Stars technical team led by Coach Milovan Rajevac to take Ghana to the international association football competition.


Ghana is just two games away from securing a spot for the global showpiece next year.


“The last match against South Africa have met a lot of hope," the Germain tactician told Citi Sports.


“We all know we have good players, but I only saw the teamwork, togetherness and passion in the last game.


He added that, “If we can show that in the playoff game, I’m very sure we can compete with the other teams in Africa.”


The Black Stars beat South Africa 1-0 in their crunch group decider to reach the final playoff stage.


The four-time African champions have been seeded in Pot 2 for the draw scheduled for 2021.


Ghana who missed out in the last edition of the World Cup in Russia 2018 are pursuing to return to the to the global tournament in Qatar.


The Black Stars has played in Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and 2014 World Cup in Brazil.


Ghana who have been drawn in Pot 2 will either face Senegal, Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco or Algeria in the playoff qualifying round.
