MATCH REPORT: Black Meteors beat Hearts of Oak in a friendly

The Black Meteors of Ghana continued their preparations ahead of their Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifier with Algeria next month with a victory over the Ghana Premier League giants in a friendly.

Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 loss to the Ghana U23 team in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday morning.

The first department of the match ended in a scoreless stalemate as both sides failed to utilize their chances created as well as the set-pieces awarded to them.

A 64th minute goal from Nzema Kotoko's Akese Akese handed Coach Ibrahim Tanko's side a resounding win over the Phobians.

The Black Meteors are currently preparing for their African U23 Championship double-legged qualifying match against Algeria.

Ghana will host the Algeria U23 in the first leg tie at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 5th before traveling to Algiers fours days later for the second leg.
