Black Meteors to arrive in Ghana on Thursday after historic feat

The Black Meteors of Ghana will arrive in the country on Thursday morning after a qualification to the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations.

The Ghana U23 team are expected to touchdown in the early hours of Thursday after beating Algeria to book themselves a ticket to the third edition of the CAF U23 Cup of Nations.
 
The contingent comprising of players, technical and management team members will leave the shores of Algeria on Wednesday evening.
 
A lone strike from skipper Yaw Yeboah ensured the Black Meteors to qualify on a 2-1 aggregate after the first leg tie staged in Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
 
Ghana have joined the likes of Mali, Zambia Cameroon, Ivory Coast, South Africa and others for the CAF U23 Cup of Nations which will be staged between 5-22 November 2019 in Egypt.
 
The tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2020 Olympics Games.
