The national U-17 team thumped the young elephants Côte d'Ivoire in the final qualification round of the Africa Youth Championship this afternoon.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian and his charges were able to record a 3-1 victory over their counterparts at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Skipper Eric Eyiah broke the deadlock before Emmanuel Toku grabbing the second goal to end the first department of the game.
Back from recess, Eric Eyiah made it 3-0 before the Ivory Coast U-17 team scored a consolation goal in the 73rd minute.
The Black Starlets of Ghana will travel to Abidjan in the next fourteen days for the Second league tie.
The 2017 Africa Youth Championship will be held in Madagascar.
