Las Palmas midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has opened up the reason behind his decision to choose Ghana over Germany.
The 29-year-old has revealed that he opted to play for the Black Stars because there wasn't a lot of interest from Germany.
The former AC Milan enforcer joined the West African country in 2010 prior to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
"There wasn't a lot of interest in me on the German side" he told FIFA TV
The ex-Spurs man had never been to Ghana prior to playing for the team, but he had an incredible start to life with the national team.
"It was amazing and it was in Africa and we had so much support."
"After getting out of the group it was definitely our aim to reach the semi-finals. I think we deserved to as well, people could see how much passion there was in our game, we had all the fans and the whole continent behind us."
He has been suspended indefinitely from the senior national team of Ghana after the Brazil 2014 fiasco.
Boateng has netted two goals in his 15 appearances for Ghana.
