The Porcupine Warriors look to remain in the title race as they eye nothing but a win today heading into the game against regional rivals AshantiGold SC in a herculean 'Ashanti Derby' clash at the Len Clay Stadium in week 28 of the Ghana Premier League.

Spoils were shared when both teams met at the same venue in the first leg and Kotoko will be playing as the home this time and the target is nothing to grind a victory by any means today to continue to mount pressure on arc rivals Hearts of Oak at the summit of the league.

The 'Kum Apem' lads are still yet to win a game at the Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II Park after holding Aduana Stars to a 0-0 stalemate last Saturday but revived their confidence with a 2-0 victory over lower tier side BYF Academy in Bekwai in round 64 of the FA Cup.
However, AshantiGold SC having suffered a painful 0-1 home loss to Legon Cities in week 27, got themselves back to winning ways with an important victory over King Faisal to advance into the next round of the MTN FA Cup.
Asante Kotoko have bottled their lead and now trail the leaders with two points after failing to pick a maximum points in their last three matches in the league, sitting 2nd on the league with 47 points.
Meanwhile, the Miners after recording two consecutive defeats are currently relinquishing the 10th position on the league standing with 34 points and will definitely want to return to winning ways today.
With Kotoko, they are going to miss some of their first team players heading into this epic encounter but the good news is, reliable centre-back Abdul Ganiu Ismail returns and will be available for selection this afternoon.
Imoro Ibrahim is out of the game as he is currently with the Black Meteors in Japan so as first choice goalie Razak Abalora who is also with the Black Stars.
Centre forward Andy Kumi Francis has also been ruled from this game after sustaining an injury in their last training session ahead of this game.
In the camp of AshantiGold, coach Thomas Duah has no any major injury worries and will have all his players available for selection today.
Marksman David Abagna Sandan has also returned into the team after missing their last game due to suspension.
