It is another time of the season where the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana are meeting once again to entertain the world with breathtaking and unrivalled football.

The wait is over and it is match day twenty-one (21) of the Ghana Premier League with the venue being the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium between twenty-three (23) times league champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and nineteen (19) times league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak.

It has always been a tedious and a great battle between the two sides in Kumasi in such encounters where it promises to be better in this edition of this fixture.

Both teams come in in this game with a particular purpose of overcoming the other to get, not only the bragging right, but also the points that could leave her closer to achieving a sumptuous reward at the end of the season.

It will be a week that will not go down well in the minds of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko fraternity in match day twenty (20) when they got humiliated and annihilated by Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium by 4-1 and will surely be erased from their memories immediately after the game.

It will be a different approach that the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team will be heading into this encounter that could determine how much their chances are to winning the league as many connoisseurs of the game predicted before the start of the season.

It is on record since time memorial that the "porcupine warriors" has fared woefully against their bitter rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak in encounters that has ensued between them at home and it will be detrimental, this time around, to allow the "rainbow boys" have another twist of events against them in this fixture.

It stands that Kumasi Asante Kotoko have lost nineteen (19) times at home against Accra Hearts of Oak who have also lost to the former seventeen (17) times with as much as thirteen (13) ending in a drawn game.

The "kum apem" lads, prior to their game against Dwarfs, were on a good run of form until that tragic midweek game and will be ready to let that game go by and approach this game like they have had in those moment of cherry since coach Michael Osei took over.

Winning this game will mean a lot for Kumasi Asante Kotoko not only in gaining the points but also to wipe off the misery they encountered in Cape Coast and much importantly, gain the mammoth and vociferous say between both archrivals.

Due to Kumasi Asante Kotoko's bad performance recently where they have failed to win any again in their last three games has seen them fall down the league table from second to fourth and that will be at the back of their mind to enter this game with a positive mindset to win so as to see them climb back to their normal position, the least.

But it is against a side that has defied all odds to maintain a startling performance on the road this season and are yet to come home without a point away from their favourite grounds.

Again, it is against a side that has always caused meals to be washed away by indigenes in Kumasi even with a depleted side. After a topsy-turvy start to the second round of league matches, Accra Hearts of Oak has gained that necessary momentum and are beginning to understand and have a better coercion and chemistry with Sergio Traguil's philosophy which has given them the necessary move in the league at this crucial time.

It has always been done before by the "never say die" boys in Kumasi and they will be trailed to continue what has already been done by those gone before them and will also open the gap between them and their rivals in the league which will get them more closer to the league. You have no reason to miss this game as it comes only once a while.

Grab your tickets and be at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium or stay behind your set to witness "the cliff hunger" to your satisfaction.
