The Dansoman Carl Reindorf park will witness match week twenty-four (24) between Liberty Professionals and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in what promises to be a fascinating encounter.

Liberty Professionals' fine run to the start of the league season has hit the rock in the second run as they are struggling to maintain the pace and momentum they started the season with.

Their only victory in the second round came in their match week twenty-two (22) against Sekondi Hasaacas when they walloped them by four goals to nil at Dansoman which they have failed to get the three maximum points in their other seven (7) league games in the second round.

Due to their performance in the league in this second round, they have fallen in the pecking order of team standings on the league log with thirty (30) points on the 8th position of which they finished the first round better.

After an inexplicable performance at home in the first round at home, the "scientific soccer lads" have rolling over their nice display at home to away sides to reside on in the second round which would not be the wish again in their match against Kotoko in week twenty-four (24) of the Ghana Premier League.

The head coach of Liberty Professionals, George Lamptey, has vowed to get the win against Kotoko to help his side push upwards on the league table as they are on a redemption mission to salvage and get the rest of the games going well.

Visiting side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have neither done well in the second round of the season but have not felt that woeful when they travel to play league games.

After going five (5) games without a victory in the league before they played Dreams FC in their last match, the "kum apem" lads where in tatters on how to set the victory pedal rolling again.

A difficult victory against Dreams FC will surely urge the side on en route to Dansoman as the dream to annex the league title is still on with Michael Osei as the interim head coach.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will ride on their superior head-to-head to boast off their psyche to get the victory that could push them back to the top four and ease their chances of getting closer to winning the league again.

But Liberty Professionals last home victory against Kotoko at the Dansoman park is still fresh which will give Kotoko a much thinking to ponder on, notwithstanding the fact that record favours them, thus eighteen (18) victories and six (6) loses with five (5) drawn games to them.

Any victory for any of the sides today will be a sigh of relieve to help the team settle well in a comfortable position before the end the of the season.
