The former Ashanti Gold SC trainer has attributed their Sunday's CAF Champions League loss to Etoile Sportive du Sahel to the inexperience of his team.

A raucous atmosphere was guaranteed for this one, with the home support out in their droves to watch their heroes beat their opponents.

Goals from Augustine Okrah and Richard Arthur gave Asante Kotoko a deserved 2-0 victory over Etoile du Sahel. Asante Kotoko are on the march. Emphatically. Officially. Undeniably.

Asante Kotoko take on Tunisian giants Etoile Sportive due Sahel on Sunday in an herculean task which, if qualified, will see the Porcupine Warriors into the "Money Zone" of the CAF Champions League, and it will be the first since 2006 under late coach E. K. Afranie. It has gotten to a point that every rank and file of the Asante Kotoko fraternity have been nauseated with the burning desire to make it pass the 2006 Africa Champions over two legs with teams performance against Kano Pillars both home and away.

They are one of the oldest clubs in Ghana, a continental stalwart with forays into Africa, a decent albeit dated trophy cabinet and a list of former players and managers that makes for very good reading. They have never stooped in the shadow of their more successful continental rivals and have consistently been there or thereabouts, especially in the last four decades.
