Ghana youth international Kelvin Owusu Boateng has officially joined Portuguese heavyweights FC Porto in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has joined the Estádio do Dragão outfit on a season-long loan deal from CD Aves after passing a mandatory medical test earlier today
His loan deal at FC Porto has option of renewal per the agreement between the two Portuguese top-flight clubs.
Boateng has been drafted into the FC Porto 'B' to aid his progression as he climbs up the ladder of association football.
“For now there are no words to describe what I feel at the moment. I am very excited to join FC Porto and I want to make history at the club.” Boateng told in an exclusive interview
“I want to help FC Porto B and score goals, so I can earn promotion to the first team. Let me thank my teammates at CD Aves for their support as well as my family and friends.” he added.
He arrived in Portugal to join CD Aves from Ghanaian-based side Right to Dream Academy in 2018.
The lanky striker netted 16 goals in 32 games for the CD Aves Under-19 team in his debut season which earned him a promotion to the club's U23 team.
At the U23 team, Boateng scored twelve goals in 32 matches which inspired the club's technical team to hand him a first team call-up.
