Roy Boateng stars as New York Red Bull fall to Hartford Athletic defeat

Ghanaian defender Roy Boateng was in action for New York Red Bulls in the USL Championship on Friday night.
New York Red Bull suffered a painful 1-0 home defeat to Hartford Athletic in the MSU Soccer Park.
On the 12th minute, Ever Guzman fired the only goal for the visitors to hand them all the needed points after a poor goalkeeping from Wallis Lapsley.
The 24-year-old was solid at the heart of defense for the New York based club despite their home loss to Hartford Athletic
The Berekum-born enjoyed 86 minutes of the match before he was replaced by Daniel Edelman.
He has featured twice for New York Red Bull II since the resumption of the USL Championship after the Coronavirus break.
Boateng was selected at 16th overall by the New York Red Bulls in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft but his debut season was hindered by injury.
He was part of the New York Red Bull first squad during their preseason for the 2020 MLS season.
Boateng is eligible to represent either Ghana or USA in future.
