Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso played his first-ever match for Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League on Friday.
Jiangsu Suning were held to a pulsating scoreless draw by Shandong Luneng in their match-day clash at the Dalian Sports Center Stadium.
The 30-year-old excelled on his debut as he bossed the midfield for the Nanjing based club.
Wakaso's debut for Jiangsu Suning was delayed after completing his sensational switch to the Chinese top-flight league following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
He was replaced by Zichang Huang on the 83rd minute of the match.
The Black Stars midfielder joined Jiangsu Suning from Spanish La Liga club Deportivo Alaves on a fee of four million euros.
Wakaso has capped 54 times for the senior national team of Ghana, scoring twelve goals.
