Odartey Lamptey confirms he's been a tenant for eight years now due to a legal tussle with ex-wife Featured

Former Ghana international Odartey Lamptey has sadly revelead he's been a tenant for eight years now despite having houses in the country's capital.


This is because of the long legal battle that exist between him and his former wife, who still leaves in his seven bedroom apartment at East Legon despite settling her with alimony of his four bedroom house in Dome, a car and cash of Ghc200,000, as ordered by an Accra High Court in 2017.

Having lost the earlier battle, his former wife Gloria Appiah again filed an appeal to the Appeal Court seeking for the ownership of Ordatey's other seven bedroom house in East Legon but wasn't successful as the ruling went in favour of latter in the end.
Speaking in an interview with Angel FM in Accra, the former U-17 World Cup winner disclosed awfully that, he's been renting a house for eight years now with his new wife and children and is still sudden by his situation only to be consoled by his children sometimes. He said; 
 “ I have been renting for 8years now since the first ruling, while my ex-wife is living in my 7-bed room house in East Legon”, in addition to the four-bedroom she has already been given...- Nii Odartey Lamptey told Angel 102.9 FM
“Sometimes I shed tears when I’m alone in my room. My children sometimes encourage me and ask me not to cry again.” - He added
Currently, Odartey Lamptey is the head coach of Elmina Sharks who are stilp fighting for survival in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
