Thomas Boakye donates to Orphans in Kumasi

The Swedish-based Ghanaian footballer donated items worth million of cedis to orphans at the Kumasi Children's home.
Halmstad BK star Thomas Boakye has extended his kind gesture to the Kumasi Children's home by donating items to the Orphanage home.
Items donated by the former Right to Dream Academy graduate includes bag of rice, exercise books, cooking oil, assorted drinks and other foodstuffs.
Early this year, the 25-year-old who dubs as an artist promised to give back to the society from the exhibition of his works in the Halmstad community.
The Ghanaian international visited the Orphanage home together with his family and friends to show love and put back smiles on the faces of the deserted kids.
Boakye has made several donations to underprivileged people in the West African country - he donated books and other educational materials to his alma mater in 2017.
Speaking to after the presentation of items to the orphans at the Kumasi Children's home, he thanked the Halmstad community in Sweden for their immense contribution.
"I dreamt about this when I was a kid. My dream was to help others who are underprivileged and am very much elated to use my talent to benefit others in a positive way" Boakye told
"The 2018 exhibition of my works was to give back to orphans and deserted children ahead of the Christmas holidays."
"Am much grateful to people in Halmstad, the management of Halmstad BK and everyone for their immense contribution towards this year's edition of the Given Back Exhibition"
He made seven assists in his 30 appearances for Halmstads BK in his debut season where he helped them to finish fifth on the Swedish second-tier league.
Boakye is still eligible to represent Ghana despite featuring for the England U19 team.
