Ghanaian midfielder Iddrisu Baba pens new deal with La Liga club RCD Mallorca

The combative midfielder has signed a new contract with the newly-promoted Spanish La Liga side ahead of the new season.

Ghanaian midfielder Iddrisu Baba has extended his stay with La Liga Santander club RCD Mallorca.
The 23-year-old renewed his contract with the Iberostar Stadium outfit until summer 2022/after fruitful negotiations.
The club's official statement reads "Iddrisu Baba will continue to be linked to the discipline of RCD Mallorca until 2022."
"The 23-year-old midfielder from Ghana, who has played 30 official matches with the first team this season, will continue to grow as a player at RCD Mallorca."
Baba returned to the Majorcan club after playing on loan at the Barakaldo of the Spanish Second Division B last season.
During his loan stint, he played a total of 30 games and his positive evolution allowed him to play this season the 123 League with RCD Mallorca and be part of the squad that has achieved the promotion to the First Division.  
He was strongly linked with a move to Getafe CF and Atletico Madrid after an impressive season with RCD Mallorca.
Baba played an instrumental role in RCD Mallorca promotion to the Spanish La Liga in the just ended season with 25 league appearances.
