Arsenal star Mesut Ozil excited after a club in Ghana named after him

Germany star Mesut Ozil took it to social media to share some exciting news - one youth football club in Ghana made a decision to take his name.

The club's name is Abiriw Ozil Football Club.
The Arsenal player gave them almost 100 shirts as a present and they were so grateful they renamed their club.
Ozil made a post on Twitter, saying: "Abiriw Ozil Football Club. Nice to have a football club named after me in the Eastern Regional town of Abiriw in Ghana. Glad to see you all smiling in the Arsenal & M1Ö shirts. YaGunnersYa."
Before the renaming, it was a small-town club in Abiriw called Young Boys FC. But now these kids are surely going to be inspired to aim for greatness.
Goal report that Ozil's agent made a trip to Ghana and presented the club 80 signed Ozil shirts - that's what gave them an idea for a new name.
Ozil's agent Sogut also commented on the matter: "I'm a deliverer of his message, I'm here for him [Ozil] because he can't be here so I'm a messenger for him. He gave me his word to do this with Daniel [Akowuah] together.
"So we are here to deliver his message, to share with the kids, the young ones, give them vision and dreams to follow them, work hard and hopefully achieve them."
Earlier, the agent also talked more about all the charity work the Arsenal player is doing and Arsene Wenger's role in keeping the playmaker at the club.
