VIDEO: Kudus Mohammed inspires FC Nordsjaelland to celebrate Ashanti Kingdom Greatest Queen mother Yaa Asantewaa in Denmark

The Greatest Queen mother of the Ashanti Kingdom, Yaa Asantewaa was celebrated by a Ghanaian footballer in Denmark.
 
 
Ghana youth international Kudus Mohammed opted to recognized the late Queen mother of Ejisu ahead of the International Women's Day at FC Nordjaelland.
 
International Women's Day is commemorated on 8th March of every year to celebrate women in the world and their rights in the society.
 
The 19-year-old picked the Ashanti Kingdom greatest asset to join his club, FC Nordsjaelland celebration of the International Women's Day on Sunday.
 
Kudus revealed to FCN TV on why he picked her "I chose Yaa Asantewaa. She was a Queen, leader and human rights activist,"
 
"She led the Ashanti rebellion to fight against the British during the colonialism era."
 
"I chose her because of her fighting spirit and also because of my mum. I grew up with my mum and she put her life on the line to take care of us"
 
Yaa Asantewaa was the Queen mother of Ejisu who led the Ashanti Kingdom to the War of the Golden Stool in 1900.
 
Kudus is currently one of the best young midfielders in Europe who has been linked to several clubs including Liverpool, Sampdoria and Manchester City.
 
He has scored nine goals with an assist in his 20 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland this season.
 
Kudus was named in Coach CK Akonnor's 23-man squad that was announced last week for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Sudan later this month.
