Kamaldeen Sulemana scored his first international goal as Ghana swept aside the Central African Republic (CAR) with an emphatic 5–0 victory in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday afternoon at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes, Morocco.

The Atalanta winger opened his account for the Black Stars as he scored the fifth goal to put the icing on the cake with his first senior international goal in the 87th minute, capping off a memorable performance in what proved to be a dominant display from Otto Addo’s side, who showed attacking flair and composure throughout the match.

Sulemana had come off the bench earlier in the second half, injecting fresh energy into the Ghana attack.

However, his goal highlighted a confident performance as Ghana moved closer to sealing qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The victory leaves Ghana atop Group I with 22 points, three clear of Madagascar. Their superior goal difference gives them further cushion heading into the final matchday.

With only one game remaining in Group I, the Black Stars will host Comoros on Sunday as Ghana now need only a draw in Accra to confirm their spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
