It’s the second consecutive draw for both Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions in what was a very end to end game at the Ohene Gyan Stadium to climax matchday 5 of the Ghana Premier League.
It was a good start for the home team who had their first effort on goal in the seventh minute and came from Raphael Dwamena who struck from miles out but wasn’t enough to trouble goalkeeper Lawrence Osei.
Despite Hearts of Oak being the dominant side, the Giant Killers stayed resolute in defense but made some few incursions but all proved futile.
The ‘Phobians’ came close to scoring after a great team build-up landed on Rocky Dwamena who went for ambitious strike but flew high
Despite the series attacks made by the homesters it was still not enough to break the visitors as it finished goalless after full-time.
Hearts of Oak after the draw have moved to the fifth position now with 11 points and will play Berekum Chelsea in the next round of matches
This is Heart of Lions’ second draw which still live them in second place with 11 points and will travel to champions Bibiani GoldStars next.
