As the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign takes shape, early trends reveal a clear divide between home fortresses and away resilience across the topflight.
Medeama SC and Aduana FC currently stand tall as the most dominant home sides, each securing three victories from their opening fixtures, while Asante Kotoko SC top the away charts with one crucial road win.
In Tarkwa, Medeama’s stronghold continues to live up to its reputation, with the Yellow and Mauves boasting a perfect home record after three matches. Aduana FC have mirrored that form in Dormaa, building a strong foundation for another title challenge.
Elsewhere, Heart of Lions, Karela United, FC Samartex, Hohoe United, Young Apostles, Vision FC, Goldstars, and Hearts of Oak have all recorded important home wins, underlining how difficult it has become for visiting sides to secure points.
On the road, however, only a handful of teams have managed to make a mark. Asante Kotoko, Medeama, Heart of Lions, Hearts of Oak, Young Apostles, and Goldstars have each claimed one away win, proving how tight and competitive this season’s GPL has been.
With the season still in its early stages, both the home and away forms could prove decisive in shaping the title race and relegation battle ahead of Matchday Six.
