Bibiani Goldstars and Karela United have emerged as the clubs with the most penalties awarded in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season after the completion of Matchday Five.

According to official data from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), both sides have each been awarded two penalties, putting them joint top of the early-season standings.

The list, which highlights the Top 8 teams to have earned penalties so far, also features Heart of Lions, Swedru All Blacks, Vision FC, Berekum Chelsea, Dreams FC, and FC Samartex 1996, all of whom have been awarded one penalty apiece.

Goldstars, who have made a lively start to the campaign, remain one of the league’s most attack-minded sides, often forcing opponents into defensive errors.

Karela United, meanwhile, continue to show their threat in the penalty box, earning crucial spot-kicks that have accelerated their early-season pace.

As the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season begins to take shape, the trend of penalty awards underscores the attacking intent type of football.

The league resumes this weekend with Matchday Six fixtures across various centres, as teams look to convert their strong starts into consistent form.
