The 23-year-old has completed his loan switch to the Serbian top-tier side from the Danish second division club in this ongoing transfer window
Ghanaian forward Kwaku karikari has joined Serbian Superliga club FK Železničar from Danish outfit AC Horsens on a season-long loan deal, the club have confirmed.
The ex-Liberty Professionals U19 man is staging a return to Serbian football following his spell with Jedinstvo Ub between 2022-2024 campaigns.
An excerpt of official confirmation over his loan deal read: "Although the season is heating up, the management of FK Železničar is working at full speed and continues to strengthen the team. A new addition has arrived in the ranks of the "diesel" that will surely please the fans. The blue and white jersey is given to the 23-year-old striker from Ghana - Kwaku Karikari, who arrived on loan until the end of the season from Danish Horsens.
"This is Karikari's return to Serbian football, where he has already left a deep mark. He was particularly noted for his excellent performances for Jedinstvo Ub, where he played from 2022 to 2024. During that period, he stood out as one of the best foreigners in the Serbian First League, and fans remember him for his speed, strength and efficiency."
Karikari had this to tell his club's official website: " I am happy to be back in Serbia, it was a difficult season for me at AC Horsens and I gained a lot of experience as a player. I would describe myself: I am very fast, strong and I score goals. I think this club is very good for me to develop my future. My message to the fans is to continue supporting the team. We will make them proud and always happy – Karikari emphasized."
The Serbian outfit have emphasised that "his arrival at Železničar is a clear signal of the club's ambitions. With this signing, Radomir Koković's team gains a striker who will certainly bring new energy and quality in the fight for every point."
He is yet to earn his cap with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team at the international level.
