Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak has concluded its four-day intensive training program at the Ghana's military combat school, Teshie ahead of the 2025–26 season's campaign.
The special exercise, which was developed by the club’s technical team, was aimed at building the players’ resilience, mental toughness, and sustainability levels ahead of the new football season.
The Phobians underwent rigorous drills under the watchful eyes of experienced military trainers, who expressed their satisfaction with the players’ attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn throughout the sessions.
Head Coach Didi Dramani, in a post-training interview, revealed that the objective of the military training was fully achieved.
"We came here with a clear goal, which is to toughen the boys both physically and mentally. I’m proud to say the team responded positively, and we are pleased with the outcome," he said.
With this phase of their pre-season now complete, the team is set to continue preparations at its traditional training grounds in Kpobiman as they gear up for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Phobians are scheduled to play Heart of Lions in the 2025 Homowo Cup and the 2025 Democracy Cup against Great Olympics later this month.
Hearts of Oak will begin their 2025–26 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home fixture against newly promoted side Hohoe United in September.
