The ex-FC Nordsjælland defender has affirmed the interest expressed in his services by the American top division campaigners ahead of the winter transfer window

Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi has confirmed that he is aware of the interest being shown in him by Major League Soccer side Nashville SC, with a formal bid reportedly tabled for his signature for the new football season.

The 24-year-old centre-back, who is currently on the books of Norwegian top-flight outfit Fredrikstad FK, has impressed magnificently since joining The red shorts in 2023. However, with such five-star performances, the American outfit are now keen to bolster their backline options with his signing in the upcoming January transfer window.

A report by Norwegian channel TV2 has indicated that, Nashville SC have had their bid of €1.4 million in excess accepted by those in charge of the Fredrikstad Stadion for the services of the Right to Dream academy product.

And now, in reacting over the speculation linking him to the MLS club, the Ghanaian rearguard has told Norwegian TV2 of the said interest by his current suitors: ''I know there's interest in me. I think I've heard a little bit from my agent. We'll see what happens. It's a good club in a good league, so we'll see what the future holds.''

Woledzi has so far featured in 34 games across all competitions for Fredrikstad in this current 2025/26 football campaign.
