Black Queens forward Doris Boaduwaa has expressed elation towards the team’s qualification to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and hopes to do more going forward.

Ghana have officially punched their ticket to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after yet another resounding 4-0 win over Egypt in a thrilling second leg game at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The Queens have now booked their place in Morocco early next year with a 7-0 on aggregate win over the Cleopatras having beaten them by 0-3 in the first leg in Ismailia last Thursday.

Doris was in the thick of things in both legs having netted four goals in the two games including a stunning hat-trick in the second leg and feels very excited for her performance and the qualification

“I’m happy to have scored a hattrick. What I couldn’t do at the WAFCON, hopefully I’ve settled it in these games.”

The team will regroup in December to test their strength against European champions England in December before the WAFCON which comes off in March next year in Morocco.

It will also serve as qualification to the next FIFA Women’s World Cup which will be held in Brazil.
